Came for their lovely Continental Breakfast which did not disappoint. Beautiful array of pastries, porridge, cheese and meats. The Wagyu pastrami melts in your mouth, the lemon curd was outstanding and the homemade granola over yogurt was Devine. great service! Glad we came to check out this hotel on the way to Buckingham palace!

The Grill may sound like a simple place from the name alone, but it is anything but that. Located in The Dorchester, The Grill is luxury dining at its finest and most timeless. The restaurant is gorgeously designed - so highly detailed and ornate with the gold-colored accents and an asymmetrical gold chandelier. Despite being inside, you can tell if it is day or night by the pivoting wall panels that are light on one side and dark on the other. It is a space that is both classic and unique.
The Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In between those times, the restaurant is not open. I had breakfast and dinner here, and both were amazing. For breakfast, the options are between a continental or English breakfast. Both include a continental buffet, and the only difference between the two is that the English breakfast includes one hot entree dish. A continental breakfast may not sound very impression, but the food selection is plentiful and impressive here. The pastries and fruits are as fresh and delicious as it gets. Overall, the continental breakfast is not a bad deal for £30. For dinner, I had the fish and chips while my friend had the pork belly, which was the special that day. I was a little skeptical about having fish and chips in a high-end restaurant, especially when it had a healthy twist added on to it with the sweet potato puree and kale, but I was blown away. Who knew fish and chips can be made healthy but still taste so delicious? The pork belly was a delicious dish as well with its crispy skin but tender meat. Both dishes were so flavorful yet well-balanced. I was too full to eat dessert, but get the souffle for dessert if you have room in your stomach. Also, there is an extensive alcohol menu to pair with the food.
Complementing the beautiful venue and food are the fantastic staff members who provide top-notch service. With all three factors equally at the highest standards, The Grill will not disappoint you. -

We found out about a wine tasting that is offered every other Wednesday. Can only accommodate 6-8 people. Wines presented were all Portuguese that evening. Foods to match wines were offered as well. They have a new sommelier who was extremely knowledgeable and discussed each wine. The chef discussed each course. . What a remarkable evening. Wish I lived here and could attend each time. I thought the food was better than I had had at Alain Ducasse across the hall the day before.

The Grill is in a grand setting and has an intimate feel to it as it is not very large. It is a real treat to dine here. The food was delicious: the chicken amuse bouche was refreshing, the lobster chowder flavourful and the beef from the main course just melted in your mouth. For dessert, all us ordered the soufflé. I personally tried the chocolate soufflé which had a subtle taste and even after a full meal could be enjoyed. The service was impeccable and very attentive.
